The software implements leading open standards including the Data Documentation Initiative Lifecycle version 3 and ISO 11179.
Two use case papers will also be presented. The paper "Applying DDI to a Longitudinal Study of Aging" will detail the use of DDI-L and Colectica at the Midlife in the United States study. Another paper titled "DDI-Lifecycle and Colectica at the UCLA Social Science Data Archive" will detail the use of DDI-Lifecycle in a data archive.
After the conference, a Colectica workshop titled "Hands on DDI 3 with Colectica" will be given Thursday April 4th at the Budig Instruction Lab at the University of Kansas.
