New Version of Blaise Colectica Questionnaires

A new version of Blaise Colectica Questionnaires is now available. This major update includes new item types and collaboration functionality.

Survey Design Improvements

Choice Grids

A choice grid prompts the respondent to answer a series of questions that all have the same multiple choice response options.

Question Grids

A question grid is used to collect the same types of responses to several questions.

Question Grids

Rosters

Questions can be asked about members of a list. For example, a set of questions can be asked about all members of a household.

Rosters can be asked a fixed number of times, or the number of iterations can be based on a previous response.

Roster questions can be displayed as a table, or they can be vertically stacked.

Display Style

Multiple choice questions can now specify how the choices should be displayed. Supported options include:

Other, Specify

For multiple choice questions, a response can be designated as the "other, specify" response. When this answer is selected, the respondent can specify additional text.

Dynamic Text

Question text and other text fields can contain tokens. Previous responses can be used to fulfil these values. This approach allows survey designers to create questions with dynamic text, while maintaining the ability to re-use the questions.

Collaboration

Re-use code lists for multiple choice questions

Code lists can now be re-used with the same survey or across separate surveys.

New item type: Note

A note allows the survey author to include information for programmers or other implementers, that is not necessarily intended for the respondent.

Comment on items and sequences

Survey authors and reviewers can comment on survey items. This functionality can be used to provide feedback during the survey development process.
