Learn about DDI metadata, and how it is used to help make data more FAIR.
Colectica provides modernised, sustainable solutions that manage a broad range of documentation / metadata while leveraging open data standards. Solutions include: software tools, metadata training, DDI open data standards training, and custom software development for your unique needs. Colectica makes your data more functional and expressive so it's easy to discover data across your datasets. Your documentation is then well structured for helping to make sense of the data, and ensures your data’s longevity.
An introduction to FAIR Data Principles and how to implement and create FAIR data with DDI Lifecycle - a metadata standard for data documentation, and Colectica - software for standards based metadata management and publishing.
Colectica provides modernised, sustainable solutions that manage a broad range of documentation / metadata while leveraging open data standards. Solutions include: a full metadata editor; a repository to centralize and store your metadata, a web portal to browse and interact with the data, a structured survey/questionnaire specification editor, and a software developer kit to extend or customize the tools to your needs.
Colectica Designer is a powerful desktop tool providing you full metadata editor capabilities, allowing you to create, ingest, edit and enrich the documentation of statistical and survey content. This yields well organized, richer information that is machine-actionable and much more useful, enabling you to produce or publish its documentation in multiple formats and outputs. Its intuitive user-friendly interface guides you to structure that documentation according to open data standards per the DDI metadata model.
The Colectica Repository+Portal work together as server applications, with the Repository acting as an authoritative central storage of metadata, populated via publishing from any of the Colectica desktop tools. It is the backbone of the Colectica platform, leveraging the open data standards format, making it the ideal solution for centralizing and organizing your multiple, complex and scattered data sources. The Portal is the web frontend powered by the Repository’s data; it's where internal or public users can browse or search all the information in the repository and interact with that information in multiple ways.
